Deutschlandradio Kultur records its ‘Im Gespräch’ ('In Discussion') programme with Marcel Ophüls in front of a live audience. The renowned French director and documentary filmmaker is being awarded a Berlinale Camera this year. In 1989, the Berlinale Forum screened his documentary Hotel Terminus - The Life and Times of Klaus Barbie, which won the Peace Film Prize from the Heinrich Böll Foundation. He was most recently a guest of the Forum with The Trouble We've Seen in 1995. This year, his film The Memory of Justice is screening in the Berlinale Special. It was originally presented at the Berlinale in 1978 and was then considered lost for a long time. Over the last two years, the American Film Foundation has restored the film. 'Im Gespräch' is broadcast Monday to Friday between 9am and 10am on Deutschlandradio Kultur.
