Co-Partner

Campari

Campari is the iconic Italian red aperitif, at the heart of some of the world’s most famous cocktails such as the Negroni and Campari Spritz. Cinema reflects the perfect alchemy between the passion, creativity, and imagination of Campari, whose rich history in the world of arts and cinema dates from its very creation in 1860. Campari will host an exclusive bar in the Berlinale Press Center at the Grand Hyatt Hotel every day from 6:00pm. During the whole festival, guests can look forward to special Campari Experiences at more selected locations. The “Berlinale Bergfest”, co-hosted by Campari at Metropol on February 20 will be the highlight of the partnership between Campari and the Berlinale.

Mastercard

As an international technology business, Mastercard provides safe and smart payment processes all over the world. Mastercard has been a Co-Partner of the Berlin International Film Festival since 2015. This year, it focused on diversity and accessibility, since films can help sensitise people to the world around them and combat stereotypical role models. Actor Thelma Buabeng was the face of the Mastercard campaign and lent the company’s commitment a strong voice.

To encourage diversity on the big screen, Mastercard supports the project Vielfalt im Film and its associated organisations in their commitment to fighting discrimination and promoting accessibility and diversity in the film industry. From February 13 – 26, 2023, Mastercard donated 1 euro of every festival transaction (ticket sales at the Berlinale online ticket shop, and snacks and drinks at the International and Zoo Palast cinemas) made with Mastercard to the project.

As a partner of the talent support project Berlinale Talents, Mastercard sponsored 200 selected creatives from 14 different film industry trades. More information on the projects and the campaign are available at https://www.mastercard.de/berlinale.
