With Vision Day, a one-day event, the project Berlinale Talent Campus will be initiated which is to evolve into a new festival section by 2003. For the future belongs to young talents. Beginning next year and for the duration of five days, the up-and-coming generation will have a venue of their own - the "Haus der Kulturen der Welt" (The House of World Cultures) will provide equipped lounges with screening facilities, where workshops and discussions will take place.
It will be the place where 1,000 talents from all over the world will be informed about the latest developments in the film industry by established film artists. Trade professionals from all branches of film will discuss about film with the new talents. Partnerships can be forged and new projects pressed forward.
The Vision Day informs about the ambitious new project that will be official part of the Berlinale in 2003.
