Online Ticketing Info

Cinema Access

For the 72nd Berlinale, visitors with festival or student accreditation can only gain access to the festival screenings and public talks at Berlinale Talents by booking an online ticket in advance. These free tickets are for personal use and only valid in combination with an accreditation badge.

Special regulation for EFM market screenings: as in previous years, access will be without tickets. Admission to EFM market screenings is granted simply by showing your market badge (Buyers Badge holders have priority, afterwards access is on a first-come, first-served basis).

Access to the Online Ticket Shop for Accredited Visitors

Your personal login to access the separate online ticket shop for accredited visitors will be emailed to you approximately one week before the start of the Berlinale. After logging in for the first time, you must provide a unique email address for each accredited person. From then on, this email address will be used as the account name for logins and all tickets booked online will be emailed to it. In order to ensure smooth access, payment of the accreditation fee must be made by January 31, 2022. Any late payments may lead to delays in the provision of access.

Film Selection

The programme on berlinale.de remains your central resource for finding out about the films screening at the festival and the public talks at Berlinale Talents. You can filter the entire programme by sections, countries or the days you will be in Berlin. And you can put together your own individual programme by using “My Favourites”.

Your next step is to book your tickets in the separate online ticket shop for accredited visitors (detailed information to follow).

General Information Regarding Online Ticketing

A maximum of one ticket can be booked per event and time slot (90 minutes). There is no guarantee of tickets for a certain screening or a specific total number of tickets. The tickets for accredited visitors are issued according to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. In the online ticket shop for accredited visitors, you will only be offered tickets for the events for which you have purchased access with your accreditation.

Tickets that have already been booked but cannot be used must be cancelled online before the screening begins. In the event of repeated non-use of tickets, the festival reserves the right to invalidate tickets that have already been booked and/or to block personal access to the online ticket shop for the accredited visitor.

More detailed ticketing rules will be finalised by early February and published here.
