Warning Strike at the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG)

On Thursday, February 20, and Friday, February 21, 2025, there will be no tram, bus and underground train service in Berlin, with a few exceptions. The S-Bahn and regional trains and some bus lines that are not operated by BVG are not affected by the strike. Further information

Awareness Team and Anti-Discrimination

During and shortly after the Berlinale, additional Awareness Teams are available to offer preliminary advice to any visitors or employees who observe, experience or are affected by discrimination in connection with the festival.

The Awareness Team can be contacted by emailing or by phoning +49 30 259 202 95 daily from February 13 to 23 (from 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm) and from February 24 to 28 (from 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm).
The Awareness Team will be present at selected events during the Berlinale. The team can be identified by their dark blue clothing with the inscription "Awareness BDB e.V.".

Tribute to Rainer Rother

At the 75th Berlinale Artistic Director of the Deutsche Kinemathek Rainer Rother will be honoured with the Berlinale Camera. The film expert is also head of the Retrospective section and responsible for Berlinale Classics.
