In their world, two sisters make one. The older one gives the younger one a hand, and together they twirl through the playroom, zoom up and away on their bikes, or spin around on a swivel chair. Wherever they appear, the white pages of the animation are filled with contours and colour. When the younger one is able to move around without her big sister one day, it becomes clear what inclusion can lead to. The roles are reversed, but everything remains the same.

Anne-Sophie Gousset

After studying at the École Émile Cohl in Lyon, she developed the interactive children’s story Le Caïmansonge. She then studied editorial design in Annecy. She illustrates interactive stories, makes commissioned animations and works as a writer for videogames. Entre deux sœurs, which she co-directed with Clément Céard and for which she is also responsible as the writer and graphic designer, is her first short film as a director.

Clément Céard

He completed his degree at the École Émile Cohl in 2006 with his graduation film Le veilleur which screened at several international festivals. Since then, he has worked as a 2D animator and chief animator on numerous series, shorts and feature films. He has been teaching at École Émile Cohl since 2016. In 2022, he co-directed Entre deux sœurs, the first short film he has made with Anne-Sophie Gousset.
