Ella the fairy and her eight-legged friend Spin weave the most whimsical webs, but only when they work together. From pretty houses to harmonious harps, their creations bring joy to all the animals living in the tree. What’s next? A castle! No, a boat! As they try to decide how to go on, a quarrel erupts between animator An Vrombaut’s creative duo, sending magic wand and sticky threads off in different directions. What a tangled mess!

The director was born in Belgium and studied animation at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent and at the Royal College of Art in London. Her graduation film Little Wolf won a number of international awards including Best First Film at the 1993 Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Her short film The Tie premiered in the 2015 Berlinale Generation where it won a Special Mention from the Children’s Jury. She has written and illustrated over 17 picture books and also writes scripts for pre-school television series.
