Mil nubes de paz cercan el cielo, amor, jamás acabarás de ser amor

A Thousand Clouds of Peace Fence the Sky; Love, Your Being Love Will Never End
A portrayal of the endless farewell between 17-year-old Gerardo and his lover, Bruno. After their separation, Gerardo wanders the streets, haunted by images and bodies that remind him of his lost love. Wet dreams, onanistic fantasies and brief sexual encounters with strangers fail to alleviate his pain. Bruno’s departure makes Gerardo clutch at the remnants of their dead love, but they slip through his fingers. Gerardo’s pain blinds his senses, he ignores the concerns of others and his friends are unable to get through to him. A destructive sexual impulse triggers a quest that transforms his identity and his emotional capacity. The film unfolds as a restless reflection on desperate gestures where each character builds a tower of solitude. Within his tower, Gerardo fights to protect his desire for Bruno from brutal reality. In Gerardo’s vision, the streets become microcosms inhabited by Bruno’s doubles who then vanish like tears, leaving behind a yearning for love beneath a limitless sky.
