Jørgen + Anne = Sant

Totally True Love | Jørgen + Anne = Für immer
Ten-year-old Anne is a bundle of energy. She’s brilliant at climbing trees and is a passionate sprinter who can run faster than all the others. Not surprisingly, Anne thinks that Vikings are far more interesting than princesses, who never get to do any of the really interesting stuff. But then a new boy called Jørgen joins their class. Jørgen and his family have moved into the spooky house at the end of the street. When of all people Anne discovers that she is falling in love with her new neighbour, this turns her rambunctious lifestyle upside down. All the girls love Jørgen. Unfortunately this includes Ellen, whose pretty nose and blonde pony tail always seems to impress the boys. But this won’t deter Anne. She’s prepared to go further – much further – than any of the others to get Jørgen. After all, anything is allowed in the name of love. Of that, Anne is quite certain.
The eponymous novel on which this film is based was written by Norwegian novelist Vigdis Hjort in 1984. The book has been a best seller ever since; it is still one of Norway’s most popular books and can be found in any public library.
