A floating. A dream. A poem. The camera flies above a vast landscape up close, over the mountains, into the city. “I saw a dream”, he says. “What did you see?” she asks. “It was about the girls. They were sick!” She wants to know what was wrong with them. They carried houses on their backs, he replies, In this city, where children bear houses on their backs, the sun’s radiance is diminished. What kind of strange city is that, the young woman asks. Athens, he says.

Jacqueline Lentzou

Born in Athens, Greece in 1989, she grew up in Thessaloniki. She decided she wanted to become a film director after seeing Gus Van Sant's film Elephant. She graduated with a distinction from the London Film School in 2013 and participated in Berlinale Talents in 2014. Her work revolves around coming-of-age, loneliness, non-traditional family constructs, intimacy and dreams. She has directed several short films and a music video and is currently developing her feature film debut.
