Berlinale Shorts 2025

Two high school students, a boy and a girl, find themselves at the mercy of one of their mothers after a night-time mishap. Over the course of a single night, the elephant in the room is all but desperately avoided by all participants. Silence lingers over each character’s head. The mother, an unwilling addition to the predicament, is forced to make lasting decisions for the two minors, one of whom is her own son. As the night progresses, it becomes abundantly clear that there is simply no such thing as “the right thing to do”.
