They only want what’s best for her: her parents praise her good school marks, and her grandma gives her the violin-bow she once had used as a child in Korea. The adults reprimand, encourage and expect a lot of her. It’s Sora’s seventh birthday, and they’re having her favourite sushi and cake. No friends are invited. Sora gazes longingly at a ball flying over the garden fence. She gets to make a wish when she blows out the candles.
