Samui Song

Viyada, a soap-opera actress in her 30s, is married to Jerome, a rich foreign national. Though their marriage starts out happy, Jerome becomes increasingly controlling as he gets more involved with Buddhakaya, an alternative religious sect founded by a powerful figure named The Holy One.
One day, Jerome tells the abbot about his troubles with Viyada, and to his surprise, The Holy One volunteers to help sway her to the “rightful path”. His visit to the couple’s household, however, leaves the woman violated and shaken. Viyada believes that Jerome consented to this violation.
Viyada then meets Guy Spencer, a suave drifter with a shady past, at a hospital canteen. He insinuates that he can have her husband killed, and in a moment of weakness, she agrees – for a price.
But the plans go wrong, and instead of being killed, Jerome is in a coma at the hospital. Guy is forced to lie low, while Viyada struggles with her guilt.
When Jerome passes away, Viyada discovers that she is pregnant. She slips away that night and flees. But no one can escape The Holy One.
