Absolute Beginners

The smallest idea can grow into a great story. You just need to know how! In her workshop, director Janin Halisch will be developing new film ideas with young people and revealing a few important tricks of the trade. Whoever wants to make a film needs little more than imagination, pen, paper and a camera, even if it’s initially only on your mobile phone. One of the goals of the workshop is to work out the interests of the individual participants and what kind of film genre matches these best, because everyone sees the world through different eyes. What we say in our films is always the sum of our memories, impressions and innermost motivations. Participants will playfully develop stories together and discuss how these can be filmed in the shortest time. No previous experience is necessary, just a desire to be there! Together with director Janin Halisch, youngsters from Berlin schools work out how the smallest idea can be developed into a film. You are very welcome to be in the audience.
