Berlinale To Be Guest in Paris This June

From May 11 to July 3, 2022, the Parisian arts and cultural venue, Centre Pompidou, will be presenting a major interdisciplinary programme featuring cultural production in Berlin. Entitled “Berlin, nos années 20”, it will include film screenings, stage performances, concerts, exhibitions and panel discussions inviting visitors to explore what really makes Berlin tick in the new 20s.

The Berlinale is also part of “Berlin, nos années 20”: Curated by the Centre Pompidou, the programme “La Berlinale à Paris” offers a cross-section of this year’s festival line-up and includes 25 films from the sections Competition, Berlinale Special, Encounters, Berlinale Shorts, Panorama, Forum and Generation. Carlo Chatrian, the Artistic Director of the Berlinale, will be presenting some of the films in Paris.

“We are happy and proud that this year’s edition has caught the interest of the prestigious Centre Pompidou. It is the first time that the Berlin International Film Festival will be presented extensively in Paris. The programme conceived by Sylvie Pras and her team will offer a comprehensive understanding of the Berlinale universe and its sections and will give audiences in Paris the opportunity to discover and enjoy some great films,” says the Berlinale director duo, Mariette Rissenbeek and Carlo Chatrian.
