The Berlin International Film Festival Mourns the Loss of Ray Dolby

Ray Dolby, one of the great pioneers of modern cinema, has died after after a long battle with illness. Ray Dolby revolutionised sound in cinemas and contributed greatly to making films the amazing acoustic experience we know today.
Over the years Dolby and his company were awarded ten Academy Awards as well as 13 Emmy Awards.

The Berlin International Film Festival awarded Ray Dolby the "Berlinale Kamera" at the 2012 festival.
