The 62nd Berlinale opened on February 9, 2012 with the world premiere of the film Les adieux à la Reine. In the presence of the director and the actors Dieter Kosslick and Jury President Mike Leigh officially opened the festival. The duo Boy provided musical entertainment, Anke Engelke hosted the evening.
