Three different dialogues without any actual dialogue occuring. The figures meet but do nothing to start a conversation, attacking each other wordlessly instead. The only moment of harmony comes when two lovers briefly embrace. Aside from this, Švankmajer’s triptych represents a highly pessimistic view of communication, unleashing a battle of material without comparison in animated film.
