Petite lumière

Eight-year-old Fatima is trying to find the answer to a difficult question: what happens to the little light in the refrigerator when the door is closed? Is it still on, or does it go out? She opens and closes the door a few times and, after several attempts, she knows the answer.
She goes outside onto the street and finds herself posing the same question: eyes open, eyes closed . . . What happens to all the people when she closes her eyes? Are they still there?
