Rounding off to the euro has also affected the Berlinale: in planning this year's admission fees, prices rose sharply.
As a consequence, the new Berlinale director has decided to reduce admission fees for all screenings as of Monday. Beginning February 11 and until the festival closes, tickets cost what they did last year - and some even less. These new "old" prices are effective on Monday; advance ticket sales for them begin on Friday, February 8.
We wish all audiences, including the Berlinale's faithful fans, undiluted pleasure.
