Robert Altman to receive the Golden Bear for Lifetime Achievement

The 52nd Berlinale's Guest of Honour, Robert Altman, and his wife Catherine, arrived in Berlin, at Tempelhof Airport with Windrose Air, on Saturday.

On Sunday 10 February, the Berlin International Film Festival will honour Robert Altman by awarding him the Golden Bear for Lifetime Achievement. The ceremony will take place at the screening of his new film, Gossford Park in the Berlinale Palast 10:30pm. Michael Ballhaus will hold the Eulogy for this highly regarded Director.

In the past many of Robert Altman's films have participated in the Berlinale: Buffalo Bill and the Indians (1976), Secret Horror (1985), Kansas City (1997), The Gingerbread Man (1998) and Cookies (1999). Buffalo Bill and the Indians was awarded the Golden Bear in 1976.
