Outdoor Summer Berlinale

Finally, it’s time to go to the cinema again - from August 10 to 12, 2020, audience favourites from this year’s Berlinale will be presented at Berlin’s outdoor cinema Freiluftkino Friedrichshain.

“Recent months have reminded us how important films and the cinema are to our cultural and social lives. It’s inspiring to see how people all over the world have spoken up for the cinema during this difficult time. We hope that going to the cinema - whether outdoors or at the theatre - will soon reclaim its role as a regular special event in our daily lives. And we’re pleased that this year, we are again able to present a Summer Berlinale with highlights from this year’s festival programme,” say the directors of the Berlinale, Mariette Rissenbeek and Carlo Chatrian.
