Berlinale Mourns the Loss of Michael Gwisdek

The Berlin International Film Festival mourns the loss of the well-known Berliner actor and director, Michael Gwisdek, who passed away on September 22, 2020. Michael Gwisdek was a frequent guest at the Berlinale: as an actor in numerous films - including Good Bye, Lenin - and with his directorial works Farewell to Agnes and The Big Mambo. In 1999, he won the Silver Bear for Best Actor for his role in Andreas Dresen's film Nightshapes.
