Comrades

July 28, 2019. “Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our time!” chant the protesters, most of them young, as they confront armed police officers, with little more than hard hats, dust masks and umbrellas. In the midst of the action, whether charging ahead or beating a strategic retreat, this dynamic documentary stays focussed on the protesters themselves: their communication, solidarity and repeated appeals to one another to remain levelheaded.
