Her practice oscillates from action to abstraction using sculpture, installation, printmaking, moving image, and social practice. Installations extend her interest in geometry, the visible spectrum, and magnetism as a field upon which to project questions regarding chemical composition and political ramifications. Thorne’s work has been screened globally and exhibited locally. At Forum Expanded 2011, she collaborated with Prinzessinnengarten and b_books to create a bar IST a garden IST a café IST a reading room.
