Mit der Kamera durch Alt-Berlin

A Camera Journey Through Old Berlin
This documentary finds traces of old Berlin in the modern city. It juxtaposes drawings and engravings made about 1800 with 1928 reality. The trip through time goes from the Köllnisch fish market, identified as one of the oldest places in the city, to the radio tower, Berlin’s newest tourist attraction in 1928. But above all, it shows us that Berlin was a city built near water. From bustling central areas, as well as calm residential neighbourhoods, the camera always returns to the river Spree.
