That Day

What do you do on the day your own father has died? 15-year-old Mishelle sits halfway down the stairs watching the activity going on below in her home. Friends and relatives turn up with cakes, the telephone rings. Everyone expresses their condolences, but Michelle doesn't feel touched by their way of showing bereavement. She needs to find her own way of mourning, away from the cakes, the well-meaning words, and the people who think they understand her.
