Akbulak

Eight years after moving from Russia to Germany, 17-year-old Olja spends her summer holidays with her grandmother in a Russian village. Olja no longer feels attached to the country of her birth. Yet when she meets her childhood friend, Sasha, Olja begins to look at her experience from another
perspective. The moon-like chalk site that was once Olja’s and Sasha’s playground is where Olja rediscovers her roots.
