Accreditation A-Z

1. Create / Reactivate your account

In order to access the accreditation application form please log in under "My Account". If you had an account in the past, please continue to use it. Your account is valid for www.berlinale.de as well as www.efm-berlinale.de. Contact the web support team if you have forgotten your user name: phone +49 30 25920-800 or

2. Apply for accreditation

Once you have an account, you can submit an application for accreditation under "My Accreditation / EFM Registration". Only one application per account is possible.

3. Confirmation and payment

You will receive further information about your accreditation along with the approval of your application via e-mail. Please note that the online payment of the accreditation fee is only possible by credit card.

Attendance can be cancelled without stating reasons until March1, 2020 as long as a badge has not been collected. Paid badges will be reimbursed without any service charge by the Berlinale. Please contact .

Careful handling of your private data is important to the Berlinale! Please make sure that no unauthorised person has access to your personal account. Invited guests of the festival and film teams are not accredited via the online accreditation platform. The festival will contact these guests individually. An additional Market Badge can be ordered via .

Please report the loss of your accreditation badge immediately to your accreditation counter. Re-printing of a new badge can take up to 24 hours and is subject to a EUR 30 charge. Day Passes and Visitor Passes cannot be replaced.

Once your application has been accepted and your accreditation is paid for, you can fully access the Online Services. You therefore have to be logged in to your "My Account". Depending on the type of your accreditation you can use the following services on the Berlinale and EFM websites.

As soon as your application for a Festival Accreditation / EFM Registration has been approved, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with information on how to pay. After we have received your payment, you will be able to access the online services as they become available. You can make your payment through one of the following methods:

  • Online credit card payment
    Until beginning of February, you can use your credit card to pay the accreditation fee online. We accept MasterCard/EuroCard, American Express and VISA. Please log in to your “My Account” and provide the billing address for your invoice before making the payment. Once we have received your online payment, we will email you an invoice. You will also be able to download the invoice in your “My Account”. Moreover, you can fully access the online services for accredited participants.
  • In person
    From mid-February, the online credit card payment is no longer possible. The accreditation fee can only be paid in person in Berlin at the respective accreditation counter by credit card (MasterCard/EuroCard, American Express and VISA) or girocard.
  • Collective payment via bank transfer
    Until January 30, companies and institutions can make collective payments for their employees/representatives via bank transfer. Kindly note that at least five people are required for a bank transfer. Please send an e-mail with a list of all names to be paid for to . Please ensure to only list persons with a confirmed accreditation. Also bear in mind that bank transfers can take several days to process.

Cancellation

Attendance can be cancelled without stating reasons until March 1, 2020, as long as a badge has not been collected. Paid badges will be reimbursed without any service charge by the Berlinale. Please contact .

About one week before the festival starts, you will receive an e-mail with information on the collection of your accreditation. The attached pick-up letter informs you about the location and opening hours of your accreditation counter. This document needs to be provided (digitally or printed) when picking up your badge(s).

Participants who have to apply for a visa at a German Embassy or Consulate General: As of mid-December, the festival will inform the respective Embassy or Consulate General of your participation in order to facilitate your visa application. Among other documents, a proof of health insurance for the duration of your stay in Berlin is necessary. You may find further information on deadlines and visa application forms here.
