Berlinale HUB
Talks. Meetings. Connections.

Once again this year, another centrepiece is being built at Potsdamer Platz, right next to the Red Carpet of the Berlinale Palast: the Berlinale HUB. This Festival Center is an inviting place for encounters and exchange. Various events for audiences and film industry professionals will take place here every day.

Opening Hours Feb 13 – 20, 2026

10 am – 12 pm
BERLINALE FILM TALKS.
Public event. Admission free. Limited capacity.

The Berlinale HUB will be hosting eight mornings of talks and events with free admission for the general public.

The Berlinale Film Talks explore key themes of the festival. Highlights include "A New German Wave of Directors", a talk in which emerging filmmakers discuss their experiences as debut directors, and a conversation on "The Fascination of Music: How Sound in Films Makes the Difference". Moreover, The Teddy Directors’ Exchanges are returning to the Berlinale HUB, with the 40th anniversary of the TEDDY AWARD among the topics of conversation. And Deutschlandfunk Kultur will be recording various radio programmes of conversations with filmmakers in front of a live audience.

Guests on the Berlinale HUB stage this year include İlker Çatak, Cheryl Dunye, Faraz Shariat, John Turturro and Tom Tykwer.

Limited capacity. Please note that we do not clear the room after the first talk, so it might still be very crowded during the second session. Arriving early is recommended.
