Everything Everywhere All At Once

Laundromat owner Evelyn Wang, played by Michelle Yeoh, is drowning in the chaos of her everyday life: she feels overwhelmed by the imminent visit of her father; her customers’ demands are pushing her to the limit and her tax declaration is proving to be an insurmountable challenge. A visit to the tax office is unavoidable, but while she and her family are in a meeting with her tax inspector, her universe turns completely upside down. Space and time dissolve and all the people around Evelyn – much like herself – suddenly have multiple lives in parallel universes. She discovers that the multiverse is real and that she can take recourse to the abilities and lives of other versions of herself. This is something that is desperately needed since Evelyn is being entrusted with a great, if not the greatest possible, mission: to save the world from an unknown evil.
