Liz, a closeted gay college student pretending to be straight, is still haunted by the gruesome death of her girlfriend, Wendy. Desparate for escape, she joins her friends on a weekend trip away. But as Liz grows close to a mysterious young woman on the trip, unresolved sorrow and long-buried desires stir something unnatural within her. An unseen force that twists suspicion into violence spreads through the group, threatening to consume it. In a society where being seen can be dangerous, Liz must confront not only her grief, but also the brutal cost of being herself.

The work of the Dominican filmmaker explores queer experience, transgenerational trauma and sociopolitical oppression. Her first feature-length documentary, Lo que se hereda, premiered at the True/False Film Fest in Columbia, Missouri while her second, Ramona, premiered in the Berlinale Generation section and won the SIGNIS Award and Best Documentary at Cinélatino in Toulouse. No Salgas is her debut feature-length fiction film.
