Fifteen-year-old Weinshi, whose name means “time”, belongs to the Wayuu people and lives in the heart of La Alta Guajira, the desert region of northern Colombia. One night, she hears an ancestral calling in her dreams. Weinshi sets off on a journey from the far north of her region towards the south, seeking the wisdom and guidance of her elders. On her way, she acquires ancestral knowledge and a deep spiritual connection to the land. She also takes on the weight of sorrow at the devastating consequences of mining on the environment and the lives of Indigenous communities. As she bravely faces all the challenges along the way, the young Wayuu girl encounters figures who become her companions and teach her the traditions of Yonna, the sacred dance of her people, in order to bring healing to the earth.
