International Jury and Children's and Youth Jury of Generation
Generation International Jury 2026 (f.l.t.r.): Khozy Rizal, Kim Yutani, Lena Urzendowsky
The members of the three Generation juries have been appointed. Khozy Rizal (Indonesia), Lena Urzendowsky (Germany) and Kim Yutani (USA) make up this year’s Generation International Jury which will award cash prizes. The Children's and Youth Juries will decide on the Crystal Bears.
International Jury
In each of the section's two competitions, the three members of Generation's International Jury will be awarding the Grand Prix for the Best Film (worth 7,500 euros) and the Special Prize for the Best Short Film (worth 2,500 euros). The prizes in the 14plus competition are donated in cooperation with the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung (Federal Agency for Civic Education), while the prizes in the Kplus competition are provided by the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk (German Children’s Fund).

The Children's and Youth Jury
From audience member to Berlinale jury participant: together, the seven members of the Children's Jury and the five members of the Youth Jury attend festival screenings and choose the recipients of the Crystal Bears for the Best Short and Feature Films in the Generation Kplus and Generation 14plus competitions. All young Generation audience members aged twelve and up can apply to be a member of the 2027 juries by filling out one of the film questionnaires distributed in the cinemas during the festival, or by visiting the Berlinale website.
Independent Jury AG Kino Gilde – Cinema Vision 14plus
An independent jury formed by AG Kino - Gilde consisting of three cinema operators, will again award one feature film from the Generation 14plus competition in the scope of the 76th Berlinale. The winning film will be promoted beyond the Berlinale by AG Kino - Gilde to raise industry awareness and will be given the opportunity to be presented to cinema operators and young audiences at the Leipziger Filmkunstmesse (Leipzig Film Art Fair, among other special screenings.
