Bong Joon Ho

Born in Seoul, South Korea in 1969, he is the acclaimed director and writer of films such as Barking Dogs Never Bite, Memories of Murder, The Host, Mother, Snowpiercer, Okja and the Palme d’Or and Oscar-winning Parasite. Known for his cutting, socially incisive wit and twisting of genre conventions, he has continually raised questions about social institutions and societal inequalities with his unique blend of humour, emotion and suspense. Mickey 17, his eighth feature film, marks a continuation of these themes.
