Atardecer en América

Sunset over America
The 13-year-old Bárbara leaves the crisis in Venezuela behind and journeys through South America, seeking a better life in Chile. She recalls the night she crossed the Altiplano plateau in the Andes. At 4,000 metres above sea level, she struggled against the biting cold and exhaustion but at the same time felt like she was being accompanied by a spiritual presence that wanders like the wind. This landscape between Bolivia and Chile, with its snow-capped mountains, wild alpacas, crystal-clear streams and parched stretches of desert is one of the most dangerous migration routes in Latin America. One thing remains clear to Bárbara: she must never give up, no matter what.
