Editor and long-standing Berlinale Talents expert Susan Korda gives insight into film editing skills. Through selected clips from Bonnie & Clyde and Jaws, Korda demonstrates the multifaceted techniques used to merge sound, image, and timing to create the intended cinematic experience. She'll illuminate the immense power in editing, and its ability to make a film work, despite flaws that may have occurred during production. Korda will discuss how to “kill your darlings,” or the critical ability to select the best material and discard what's not necessary.
