Matías Piñeiro
Der Drehbuchautor und Regisseur wurde 1982 in Buenos Aires geboren. Ein Jahr nach Abschluss seines Studiums an der dortigen Filmhochschule Universidad del Cine entstand sein Debüt El hombre robado. In den vergangenen zehn Jahren widmete er sich vor allem seinem Projekt „The Shakespeareads“, einer Reihe von Filmen, die sich mit Shakespeares Frauenfiguren beschäftigen. Er unterrichtet Film am New Yorker Pratt Institute, am Le Fresnoy-Studio in Frankreich und an der Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastián. Beim Punto de Vista Film Festival in Pamplona ist er als Kurator tätig.
