It’s been a few years since the festival opened up to the ever-growing world of series and became a popular hot spot for the best episodic work coming up. But this is the first time that the Berlinale Series section will also have an award of its own. And what a jury! André Holland (The Eddy; Bones and All; Moonlight), Danna Stern (Shtisel; Fauda; Your Honor) and Mette Heeno (Splitting Up Together; Snow Angels) are taking time away from their duties in the darkness of the cinema to help us shed light on intelligent entertainment from their perspectives of acting, screenwriting, producing and more. From Mette’s talent for making us fall in love and laughter with the comedic aspects of divorce, to Danna’s production skills on a comedy about twentysomethings, and André’s breathtaking ability to bring the widest range of emotions to the screen, the spectrum of what constitutes good entertainment in this conversation won’t just remain in the realms of comedy but will definitely benefit from the serious experiences the three have to offer.
