Kiss the Future: Music, Journalism and Art During the Siege of Sarajevo

The fortifying powers of solidarity have always been essential aspects of our being human, all the more so in troubled times. Coming to Berlin to unveil their awaited documentary Kiss The Future, the film's crew and subjects discuss the story of the Sarajevo underground art scene during the Bosnian War of the mid-nineties, the bravery of the besieged residents, coupled with the determination of young aid worker Bill Carter and others, and the cathartic post-war concert by the world’s biggest rock band, U2. British-Iranian journalist and CNN Chief International Anchor Christiane Amanpour shares her experience reporting on the war and thoughts on the nefarious proliferation of fake news, while artists and activists discuss the role of music in helping people overcome the horrors and raise awareness on tragedies the world seldom pays attention to.
Unfortunately, Christiane Amanpour, will no longer be able to join us for the event.
