The poster for the Berlinale 2010 was created by designers of Berlin-based "Büro Otto Sauhaus". Just like last year, a single motif represents the entire Berlinale.
The graphic artists have assembled all the films screened since the beginning of the Berlinale in 1951: some 15,000 international film titles have been used to create the new poster. The graphics, in which the names of the films have been arranged chronologically, present festival history in an entirely unique perspective.
Starting January 26, 2010, the posters will be visible across Berlin.
“With some patience, everyone will find their favourites. With this journey through film history we would like to honour all the artists whose films have made the Berlinale so extraordinary”, remarked Festival Director Dieter Kosslick about the design.
