Semele

Eleven-year-old Semele drops in on her dad at work, ostensibly because she needs his signature for something. At first he can’t relate to her even a tiny bit. Silent but undeterred, the young girl fights to be seen by him. Fleeting moments reveal that the two of them are indeed connected by something. Maybe, but just maybe, this could be the beginning of a relationship. The film’s sober and unsentimental approach proves to be very touching.
