Berlinale

GLASHÜTTE ORIGINAL

CO-PARTNER OF THE BERLINALE (SINCE 2011)

The traditional watch manufacturer Glashütte Original invited selected guests and representatives of the media to the sky over Berlin. In the exclusive Glashütte Original Lounge located on the 24th floor of the Kollhoff Building there was space for interviews, small receptions and work meetings.

During the 2012 Berlinale, the “Made in Germany – Perspektive Fellowship”, an award worth €15,000, was initiated, thanks to the support of Glashütte Original. All directors in the Perspektive Deutsches Kino of the last Berlinale were eligible to participate. The Jury (Thomas Arslan, Anna Brüggemann, Gian-Piero Ringel) awarded Annekatrin Hendel for her treatment of the documentary film Disko (Disco).

The announcement of the winner and the award ceremony took place in the context of the Perspektive Opening on February 10, 2012.

In addition, Glashütte Original supported the new talk series "Made in Germany - Reden über Film". The three one hour talks with directors and producers of this year's Perspektive took place at the Glashütte Original Lounge.
