The Last Mimzy

Mimzy - Meine Freundin aus der Zukunft
The box that Noah and his little sister Emma have found contains some strange toys. But the more the two play with the crystals and the cuddly toy rabbit, the cleverer they become. The children's growing intelligence is noticed by their teachers, who congratulate the children's parents on their gifted children. As for the parents - the whole thing is beginning to get a little too strange. And, when little Emma finally admits to her worried mother that Mimzy - the little cuddly toy rabbit she takes with her everywhere - 'teaches her things', her mother is horrified. Shortly afterwards, the city's energy supply is paralyzed by a mysterious blackout. The sharp increase in the amount of electricity used by Emma and Noah's parents' house is soon singled out as the reason for the power cut. Events follow thick and fast. The children are now completely obsessed with Mimzy who, they are convinced, is on a very important mission and needs all the support they can give her. A scientific examination of the toy reveals it to be an extremely complex organic, but also electronic, organism. Gradually, the adults begin to sense that incredible things are happening around them. But what is it exactly? Who is behind it all? And why is it happening?
