HUMBERT BALSAN – PRODUCTEUR REBELLE

Humbert Balsan (1954–2005), was a film producer; he was also Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Cinémathèque Française and the European Film Award. In 2003 he was a member of the International Jury at the Berlin International Film Festival. Balsan, who began his career as an actor, produced over 60 films in 25 years; he ‘discovered’ numerous French filmmakers and helped to foster their careers.
