“Film and Web 2.0” will focus on the interplay between the film industry and the Internet with its interactive and collaborative structures. To what extent can the so-called “Wiki-Principle” transform an economy? Although the film industry is now only at the very beginning of what will inevitably be a fundamental transformation process, real-life success stories already exist and demonstrate how films can be made even without traditional studio and marketing strategies.

This development continues to have consequences for the film industry – these new narratives and aesthetics have an effect on “screen productions” as well. But is there a clear difference between the creative work of screenwriters as opposed to games authors? Not everything written for games is ideal for movies – and the other way around.
